The aim of the conference is to highlight the importance of value education and character building which is conspicuous by its absence in our school and college curriculum, with the result that the whole country is facing the crisis of character in almost every walk of life. We also wish to underline the role of morality, human rights, yoga, spirituality, co-curricular activities, physical education etc.
in character building. We also wish to identify the changes required in curriculum of school and college education and their text books for promoting ideal behaviour and character building among our students. We also want to evolve the techniques strategies and devices to inculcate human values among our students. The various sub-themes included for discussion are meant for this very purpose. We hope that our above exercise will pave the way for ideal education, world brotherhood and world peace.
MAIN THEMES
The main theme of conference is value education and character building.
SUB THEMES
- Role of Religion and morality in character building
- Importance of Yoga in character building.
- Contribution of Science and Spiritually in promoting value education.
- Environments and Ethics.
- Utility of morals and human values in controlling population explosion.
- Physical education and human values.
- Character building through co-curricular activities.
- Strategies for value education and character building.
- Methods, techniques and devices for imparting value education.
- Changes required in the curriculum of school and colleges to include value education as a compulsory subject.
- Value Education and National Integration
The scholars willing to present papers must follow the following guidelines
- A brief abstract not exceeding 300 words should be submitted by 15th Dec 2009.
- Name of authors, their address (postal and email) and phone /fax numbers should be given on the first page of the paper only.
- The language of the paper may be either English or Hindi.
- Registration is a must for paper presenters and that too in time.
- All selected abstracts accompanied by registration fee will be published in the Souvenir.
- Those desirous to present paper in the conference should send it duly typed on A4 size paper in maximum 8 pages and abstract 300 words. The paper and abstract should reach the Organizing Secretory by 15Dec 2009, along with the soft copy online submission of the paper can be made by email user id mgmm.edu@gmail.com
